Fourth Grade Students Host American Indian Fair

students at the Native American Fair Mrs. T-K’s fourth grade class has been studying Native American culture and history in social studies. They have been learning about where various tribes lived, in addition to the shelters they made, the food they ate, methods of hunting, clothes they wore, ceremonies and rituals, and even the sports and musical instruments they played.  The culmination of the unit led to students creating models and posters to present important information about a Native American topic of their choosing.  After creating projects students presented their finding to other adults and students during their Native American Fair. Visitors toured the fair listening to students present. Then visitors voted on their top 3 favorite projects.

The results are: 1st Place--Mason Graham & Jacob Walker (The Great Plains); 2nd Place--Aaliyah Franklin (Apache Fiddle & Water Drum); 3rd Place--Zaira Systo (Tee Pees).
