Shell Knob Celebrates the Season

students perform during holiday concert
Shell Knob Elementary held their Winter Concert, December 15 at 6:00 pm. The concert started with the Charger Band playing “Holiday Bells are Ringing.”

The concert transitioned into the 5th grade beginner band playing two songs for their debut. They played “Jingle Bells’ and “Fanfare for a Winter Celebration.”
Once again the Charger Band, which is 6th-8th grade students,  played a song. “Let it Snow, Let it Snow.” Next the Middle School Choir students sang two pieces, “Christmas Pops Trio” and “Christmas Carol Jamboree.”

Once again, the Charger Band played two numbers, “Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.” During the song Rudolph the K-4 students prepared for their part on the performance. The first song they sang was “The World Says Merry Christmas” where several 4th graders played on their recorders. They next sang “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rock those Jingle Bells” where they all jingled their bells. The concert ended with “Have a Happy Happy Holiday.”

After the performance, families were invited to stay and have snacks and enjoy visiting. Mrs. Everett has once again showed the talents of Shell Knob children in a wide variety of musical methods.
