Shell Knob holds annual Field Day

Every year Shell Knob celebrates field day by doing a variety of physical activities outside and inside, that range from just for fun to using and building athletic skills. This year the weather was beautiful. There were activities all day long with barbecue hot dogs and hamburgers for a picnic lunch and ice cream pops in the afternoon.

Students were engaged with traditional activities such as the potato sack race, tug a war and a foot race. While on the other hand, they had new fun ones such as the slip n’ slide baseball and jello eating contest. jello eating contest during Field Day

Furthermore, the middle school students did a scavenger hunt in the morning using an app on their team leaders’ phone. While students were engaged in activities Coach Farr moved from group to group giving advice and making sure everyone got involved, by an occasional water spray, bucket, or water balloon.

Many thanks go to Coach Farr, for planning and set-up of a day filled with lots of fun and interesting field day activities which stretched each student in a variety of ways. Thanks also go to teachers and staff that helped make 2017’s field day a great experience to be had by all.
