K-12 Celebration of Learning and Arctic Literacy Night

SKS Held a K-2 Celebration of Learning and Arctic Literacy Night

SKS hosts several special nights during the school year where parents, family members, and the community can come and see what students are learning in their classrooms. Shell Knob Elementary celebrated some of its youngest students on October 15, 2019. K-2 parents, family members, and the community came and saw what the children are learning in the classroom. The children sang songs and demonstrated their classroom adventures to the delight of the audience. During the Literacy night people could view students’ artwork that was on display. They could also peruse the Book Fair. After the celebration students, and family members were invited to eat, do learning activities, and enjoy an arctic adventure. Everyone young and old had a great night of reading, playing, eating, and having fun.  The evening ended with each child getting a small stuffed penguin and a book.
