Shell Knob 8th Grade Basketball Season ended with a special recognition

The Lady Chargers and Chargers Basketball teams played their last game as a home game on October 28th. The Chargers played Kirbyville. In between the Lady Chargers game and the Chargers game, 8th grade ball players and cheerleaders were recognized for their contributions to sports and academic competing teams at SKS.  There was a dinner of a pulled pork sandwich, chips, a pickle and drink for five dollars, in addition to the normal snack stand fare for parents, community members and others to enjoy.  Many of the 8th grade players have been a part of the Charger sports family since they were in the elementary school. Each player was escorted onto the court by their family members. As the players walked across the court, their contributions to the Charger sports teams were read off, plus their favorite memory. Many have played in a variety of sports and activities such as Basketball, Cross Country, Scholar Bowl, Cheerleading and Archery to name a few. Eighth graders that were recognized were: April Creason escorted by her mother and grandmother. Addison Sherfy escorted by her mother, Madelyn Holtmann escorted by her foster parents. Amber Hayes escorted by her grandparents, Ean Pryor escorted by his mother, Bradyn Hayes escorted by his parents, Landon Shoemaker escorted by his mother and step-father. These students have made a huge impact at SKS.
