Shell Knob Charger Band Fall Concert

SKS Band Fall ConcertSKS held their fall band concert and it was wonderful!

The 5th grade beginner band played various selections from their “Measures of Success” music theory book. The selections are short usually no more than eight measures of various songs. SKS Band Fall Concert

Selections that were included were: “Giving Places,” “Countdown,” “Turn Around,” “Hot Cross Buns” “Au Clair De La Lune,” “Mary Had a little Lamb,” “Mary Had a Cool Lamb,” and “Duet Like This”. It is such a joy to watch the young people learn to play and experience their very first concert. They have had their instruments for just over a month.

The middle school Charger Concert Band played three pieces. The fall concert began with them playing, “The Star Spangled Banner.” It is a piece the students asked to learn. SKS Band Fall Concert

They will also play it at our Veterans’ Day breakfast. After the beginner band played the Charger Concert Band played two more pieces. They were: “Shadows Unleashed” and “Intensity”. It is a joy to watch the students play and perform as they grow as musicians. SKS Band Fall Concert
