Graduation Rate
The student graduation rate is calculated by data submitted through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education core data platform. The score is calculated based on the percent of students who complete an educational program that meets the graduation requirement of 24 credits.
The goal is to finish high school with a quality education, not graduate within a specific number of years. The Local Board of Education may allow students to exit high school in fewer than four years based on policy.
Students may complete requirements in 4 but no more than 7 years in Missouri..
Personalization of education is possible through early college, work based learning, work flex, internships and JROTC programs to prepare students for success in areas of interest.
Districts are committed and accountable to following up with students after graduation to determine the impact of education in preparing students for Enrollment, Enlistment and Employment.
