For their final career lesson, Andrea Mauk taught 8th grade about career options in physical therapy. Students learned that to be a physical therapist, you have to get a doctorate. You can be a physical therapist's assistant, though, with an associates degree. They also learned you have to like science and working with people. One student got to experience one technique physical therapists use to get muscles to work again.

One of the summer school visitors through The Shell Knob Library was the Dickerson Park Zoo. The zookeeper brought Arther the rat, Mort the Red Eared Slider and Bart the Barred Owl.

Shell Knob School is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of custodian beginning immediately. The position is for 20 hours per week, working evenings starting at 4:00.

The Shell Knob Library brought their summer program to SKS summer school kids! The first show was a magician.
8th grade art
Corporal Dan Shores presented to 6th grade about careers with the Conservation Department. In particular, they learned all about the job of being a conservation agent. In addition to learning about the cool equipment they use, they also learned Conservation Agents have all the rights of the police, and their work hours vary a lot.
