Sgt Joel Givens and Trooper Scott Walden taught 7th grade about a career in law enforcement. Students learned that there are many divisions in the Missouri Highway Patrol that allow for different career options. They also learned that self-control and being able to listen are very important qualities in a law enforcement officer. The most important tools they use are their ears and their brains.

Time to brag! Two former Chargers were recognized as character students for the month of February at Blue Eye High School. The character word was PERSEVERANCE. Congratulations Rilee Crumb and William Buchanan! We are proud of you both!

Josh Graham, owner of Graham Construction, recently gave a career presentation to 6th grade. He shared with the students the responsibilities of being a business owner and the freedom that comes with that ownership. He also showed them what it takes to build a house and how being able to communicate with strong people skills is vital to his success. The students also learned that math is a must in successful construction.

Garrett Barnes, owner of Elevated Productions, presented his career of choice to the 6th grade. He taught them about photography and videography with a camera and a drone. He also taught them about marketing and gave some great business practices advice that are helpful in any field.
